LOCATION

The perfect Holiday Cottage North Wales, Dolgadfa is found between the villages of Llandrillo and Llandderfel, a 10 minute drive from Bala. It is approximately  50 minutes from Chester, 1½ hours from Liverpool, 1¾ hours from Manchester, and 4 hours from London.  The post code for the property is LL23 7RE, the Satnav will take you to a small white cottage on your left, you need to then continue up small hill go approx 200 yards and you will see Dolgadfa on the right hand side.

From the A5: take the B4401 signposted Cynwyd and Llandrillo; follow road through both the villages of Cynwyd and Llandrillo; once out of Llandrillo village, take the 2nd turning on right by red post box (single track road) over river bridge; at T-junction turn left  and travel1 ½ miles; Dolgadfa is the 2nd house on left – a greystone farmhouse with a white gate. (NB if you come into the village of Llandderfel you will have gone too far.)

From Bala: take the A494 to the A5 and Corwen; after approx 1 mile, take right turn B4401 signposted Llandderfel and Pale Hall. Carry on for approx 4 miles, then left turn to village of Llandderfel (by war memorial); in the village, take 1st right through square (before church) cross over little bridge over stream (look out for WC’s on left, and the road narrows to lane up a small hill); at the fork continue right –

don’t fork left. Once out of village, the lane runs parallel to river, go past row of cottages on left, then down a small hill; we are the next grey stone farmhouse on right hand side (back of the house is on the lane) go past property and turn right through white gate onto gravelled drive. We are approx 1 mile from Llandderfel.

NOTES

Please be aware of the following, both houses have a no smoking policy and for your safety there is a river at the bottom of the garden which is fenced. Due to the age of the house, we are sad to say it is unsuitable for people needing disabled access. As we are trying to do our bit for the environment, the heating is not on in the summer months but we do provide plenty of logs free of charge, during the winter months heating is set to timer morning and evening but not on during the day, again wood is provided free of charge. At this beautiful holiday cottage in North Wales, we have our own water supply at the property, there is a UV and particle filter in place and the water is tested by Gwynedd council every year to check it is suitable to drink. We would advise that babies, the very young, the unwell or the elderly drink bottled water.

Please note a £250 damage/good housekeeping deposit will be payable as part of your final invoice. If you have come through an agent this will be charged 1 month before your stay  by bank transfer. Once the housekeeping team have changed over and reported back to us that everything is fine, the deposit will be returned to you within 7 days of your departure from the property by bank transfer.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that at the end of your stay we ask that you leave the property as you found it (with the exception of the clean linen and towels!) and we ask that you strip the beds. If the property is not left as found the deposit will be retained.

Due to the rural location of the cottages internet access can sometimes be affected by adverse weather conditions. In such instances service may be down for a long period. For guests needing internet connection you may wish to bring a USB dongle for light use. Vodaphone has network coverage.

Enjoy this wonderful holiday cottage in North Wales, the perfect place for a family holiday.
